Polycom IP Expansion Module for IP 601 VoIP phonesThe SoundPoint IP Expansion Module augments the user interface of the SoundPoint IP 601 with a high-resolution graphical LCD and 14 multifunctional line keys that can be set up as a line registration, call appearance, or a speed-dial, direct station select (DSS) / busy lamp field (BLF)1 key.

Equipped with a high-performance attendant console based on the
SoundPoint IP 601 and up to three SoundPoint IP Expansion Modules, the telephone attendant can reduce the number of lost customer calls, shorten transaction times, and increase the accuracy of call routing by promptly accepting, accurately screening, efficiently dispatching, and effortlessly monitoring calls.

The IP 601 supports the MGCP protocol.

You can attach up to three Expansion modules to the Polycom IP 601 VoIP phone to monitor up to 24 calls simultaneously on up to 12 lines. This is a great feature for power users and receptionists.
